What do you do as a Junior SAP Consultant at GAMBIT?
You want to work as a management consultant? Then this job is the perfect start for your career — in a growing, healthy company and in a future-proof industry.
As a Junior SAP Consultant, you work in a specific specialist area that you choose at the beginning of your time at GAMBIT — depending on your study focus, skills, or personal interests.
After your onboarding, you will be deployed in customer projects. There, you develop tailored solutions for the clients’ challenges and implement them in their IT and SAP systems — for example, during the introduction of a new SAP solution, in data migration, or in custom app development for companies. Last but not least, you work with your team to analyze and optimize customer processes.
Your possible daily routine as a Junior SAP Consultant
Arriving
You arrive at GAMBIT. Your first stop is your office - and then the coffee machine. There you meet a colleague and talk about the last Super League weekend.
Check chats and emails
You check the chats and emails and take care of messages that need to be answered. As you have been with a customer for the last two days, you will also be involved in documentation.
Project work
You are now ready to go. Your first customer project is due today. You have to record and evaluate processes for a customer. You will work independently, but will be supported by your mentor.
Lunch break
You have lunch with your team and treat yourself to dessert afterwards. You also get to chat to colleagues from other departments over lunch.
Customer workshop
A customer workshop is scheduled for the afternoon. Your team has developed a solution for the customer. You take over part of the training and answer the open questions.
GAMBIT Activities
Closing time! You wait downstairs at the entrance for the colleagues with whom you've arranged to play beach volleyball or go for a bike ride in the mountains.

We spoke to Eren Yalcin. Eren started as a Junior Consultant at GAMBIT in 2020. He previously studied production engineering at RWTH Aachen University. Today he works as a Senior Consultant in Supply Chain Management and Production.
Why did you choose GAMBIT as an employer?
Firstly, IT and production are exactly my world. GAMBIT offers great opportunities in this area to combine both worlds. Secondly, GAMBIT convinced me with the values that are lived here - the atmosphere, the recognition and the team spirit are simply great.
What is special about working as a consultant?
The job is varied and challenging - whether thematically and professionally or in terms of working with a wide variety of people in the team or on the customer side. At the moment, I can hardly imagine anything better.
What advice would you give to someone who is interested in the profession?
There are so many ways to find information online these days. But sometimes it also makes sense to simply speak to someone in person who knows the industry and works in the job. A lot of things can be clarified much more quickly that way.
