What does LeanIX do?
LeanIX is a software-as-a-service solution for the management of enterprise architecture (EA) and multi-cloud environments and has been part of SAP SE since the end of 2023.
LeanIX helps companies with software solutions to visualize, document and optimize their IT landscapes - thus ensuring greater transparency and faster data-driven decisions.
LeanIX supports companies' decision-making based on data by providing solutions that ensure greater transparency of IT assets.
The main use cases include
- Application Portfolio Assessment (application inventory),
- rationalization (optimization of the application portfolio),
- the modernization of applications based on best practices,
- technology risk assessment and
- ERP transformation and
- post-merger integration.
What can LeanIX do?
SAP LeanIX ensures transparency across a company's entire IT landscape - in other words, across the entire software portfolio.
All applications, technologies and business processes are mapped in a central repository. With the help of LeanIX software solutions, the dependencies between the individual applications can be recognized and risks and opportunities identified.
Companies can use data to make better and faster decisions about which systems they want to modernize or shut down. In this way, the SaaS software from LeanIX helps to reduce IT costs.
Some advantages of the solution at a glance:
- Gain a complete overview of your own software inventory and thus greater transparency
- Modernize application landscapes based on best practices and reduce technical debt
- Identify and minimize the risks of outdated software and discontinued components
- Better plan and implement ERP transformations, such as the switch to SAP S/4HANA
What is LeanIX EAM?
LeanIX EAM is the solution with which companies can gain an overview of their software inventory and document, analyze, evaluate, optimize and redesign their landscape on this basis. EAM stands for Enterprise Architecture Management.
With LeanIX EAM, a target landscape can be designed, a corresponding roadmap can be drawn up and this roadmap can also be executed (implementation).
The predefined LeanIX metamodel can be used to categorize and display connections between the most important components of Enterprise Architecture (EA). The metamodel is based on best practices, but can be adapted to your own requirements.
The new actual state of the IT system and application landscape can be operated and monitored with LeanIX EAM in order to recognize new risks in good time and keep the application landscape up to date at all times.
