"When it comes to complex data migrations, it's hard to beat the odds. Many grateful customers are the best and most beautiful proof of this."

"Experiencing pure technology is incomparable," says Jochen, "and simply perfect for switching off." The steering wheel firmly in his hands, the smell of oil and gasoline in his nose, the chugging of the "limp" 40 HP engine in his ears - when Jochen wants to recover from an intensive week on the weekend, he prefers to drive his pre-war classic car along the country roads of the Siebengebirge near Bonn. However, he is drawn to faraway places on trips with his family - and then preferably on the water. Recently, he has been collecting new impressions most often on cruises. And collecting is meant literally here: Jochen always carries his photographic equipment with him to capture the most diverse motifs. Jochen was born in Mönchengladbach and studied business administration there after completing an apprenticeship as a bank clerk. Since 1998 he has been a shareholder of GAMBIT. And here, too, business management and technology play a central role in his life: Jochen has built up the area of data migration at GAMBIT and has designed many of his own migration tools and developed some of them himself. In the past 20 years or so he has also selected each member of his team himself and trained his employees to become experts for data migration.

Jochen is Senior Project Manager and authorized signatory at GAMBIT. He is responsible for Master Data Management and Data Migration.

JOCHEN'S FIELDS OF ACTIVITY

1
Data Services for the Migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA

Jochen's team designed the migration to S/4HANA for a German retail group and implemented it as a template in Data Services. By 2023, almost 5,000 companies will be converted.

2
Migration from RE-FX to IFRS 16

For the first time, Jochen migrated a complete RE-FX set up for IFRS 16 at a large international clothing company - a complex task that he and his team mastered.

3
METRO: Group split under time pressure

Within only five months, Jochen's team realized the data migration for the division of the METRO. The team was able to meet the time frame despite the high degree of complexity and large quantity structures.

4
Kardex: MDG in a rugged system world

Jochen designed a comprehensive Master Data Governance Program for the Kardex Group. He is currently supporting the customer-specific implementation of the selected MDG tool.
